OPERATION NEIGHBOR: 2 girls are rescued after being trafficked by a neighborhood family With O.U.R.'s support, AIM SWAT and local police arrested the neighbor family members who had been trafficking these girls to men in the neighborhood. The offenders would persuade the girls, ages 13 and 14, to leave their homes while their parents were gone. They would then take the minors to locations in the neighborhood and sell the young girls to men who would sexually exploit them. Upon returning from one of the trips, the girls’ mother was home and discovered the atrocity of what was occurring. She immediately called the police to report the incident and receive help in prosecuting the offenders. The girls are now receiving care at AIM’s partnering aftercare center. All three suspects were arrested and charged with child sex trafficking-related offenses and will be prosecuted accordingly. AIM’s legal team will represent the survivors in the upcoming legal proceedings. O.U.R. is beyond grateful to have supported @aim_org in Operation Neighbor. Arrests such as this one, wouldn’t be possible without the combined efforts of organizations who seek to end child sex trafficking and rescue survivors out of the darkness.
