In late October, law enforcement in Latin America asked the O.U.R. Ops Team to help them advance a case they had been stuck on. The authorities had received a report from a minor who was being raped and potentially trafficked by a man who lived near the national capital, but they could not get close without the suspect becoming suspicious. O.U.R. Operators were asked to confirm details about the suspect so that a warrant could be obtained. The operators were able to find out the requested information and share it with police, who within a week got the judicial orders in place to raid the suspect’s apartment. They found a lot of incriminating evidence, and the suspect was arrested. They are now furthering the investigation to determine whether the suspect was exploiting additional minors. The survivor who made the original report is being attended to by the host government's child protective services equivalent.
