“I am proud to be working towards being a social worker. I want to heal others the same way I was healed.” - Debbie, Age 16. In many of our partnering aftercare homes around the world, survivors love to come back and mentor their younger peers. This turns into a beautiful healing experience for many when they can relate to each other and feel mutually understood. We are continually amazed by the strength of survivors to persevere through the hard moments and to look to the future with hope. As we enter the season of gratitude and Thanksgiving, we are excited to be sharing more survivor stories with you in the coming weeks leading up to Giving Tuesday, December 1st. Every year on this global day of giving, we work closely with survivors to inspire others to join the movement to end human trafficking and exploitation. Stay tuned for ways to get involved and make a difference on Giving Tuesday!
