K9 Chewie has been out assisting law enforcement and The Riverside County Child Exploitation Team (RCCET) left and right! Look at all the incredible work he has been doing. In Moreno Valley, K9 Chewie assisted RCCET on an operation in a neighborhood where an undercover RCCET investigator posing as a child communicated with a local online predator who was trying to exploit children. When the offender arrived to meet with the "child," the police were there instead. RCCET along with a local anti-human trafficking task force arrested another online predator who had rented out a hotel room to sexually exploit children. K9 Chewie helped sniff out and locate electronic storage devices inside the offender's car that otherwise may have been missed! K9 Chewie also helped immensely in the arrest of a previously convicted sex offender in a similar online case. An undercover RCCET investigator communicated with the online offender, posing as a child. Once the offender explicitly stated his intention of sexual exploitation, the police stepped in and arrested him. We are so grateful that O.U.R.-sponsored K9 Chewie was such a big help to RCCET, which is a multi-agency task force led by the Riverside County District Attorney’s Office.
